In Te Reo this term I have been learning about using vocabulary around food (Kai) and celebrations (Ngā hākari)

Here are some sentences, with english translation in brackets, that I can say confidently (list 3-4).

1. He aha te mea pai, ki a koe kei to pāti? (What do you like about your party?)

2. He pai ki a koe te/ nga ______? Do you like ______?

3. Kāore e pai ki ahau te/ nga___ . I don’t like______. 

4. Ae, he pai ki ahau te/ nga_______.  I like________.

Defintions

Surveying: to measure the shape, area, and elevation of with special instruments. Latitude: the distance between the equator and a point north or south on the earth's surface. This distance is measured in degrees. Longitude: distance on the earth's surface east or west of an imaginary line on the globe that goes from the north pole to the south pole and passes through Greenwich, England. Circumnavigation: to go entirely around Continent: one of the earth's seven major areas of land. The continents are Africa, Antarctica, Asia, Australia, Europe, North America, and South America.

My Story...

Motorbike racer

David was at home sitting on his couch watching motorbikers racing, Then the mailman came and i sprinted outside and he said this is for David Johnson. And gave me it. Then i ripped it open then read it it said. Dear david you have been invited to a motorbike racing if would like to come it will on Saturday 27 April so you should get ready.


The race is at the race track on the end of frankson street. If you come 1st you win 85,000 dollars 2nd you win 33,000 dollars 3rd you win 10,000 dollars.


David goes to the race he is on his last lap in front of everybody he past the finish line. 2 months later he gets grabs a letter what said to come to an other race at the same place if you would like to he said yes.


When David Got on the train he was ready to race, two laps to go someone's right behind him he takes a right to try and get the guy From behind not right behind him he does that but the guy comes back behind him then he hits his tier so he loses control then he smashed into a wall. The medic came over and picked him up and said your neck is broken we will take you to the hospital and you will be fixed up.



After about 3 months he was out of his neck brace he went home. But he never went back to racing he just drove his motorbike with his mates.

For writing we have been learning to write an argument using the writing process. The topic was “Are Devices Taking Over Our Lives”.

For maths I have been learning to read and interpret a range of graphs. This relates to the National Standards as it meets the criteria of: Delete the ones that are not yours
